  • Sonos speakers are known for their rich sound and ability to connect to one another, but they're pretty expensive.
  • Now through July 10 you can save on multi-speaker bundles that include the Alexa-enabled Sonos One and high-end PLAY:5.
  • I've tried the Sonos One for myself and really liked it, and another Business Insider writer raved about his experience with the PLAY:5.
  • Buying Sonos speakers in a bundle makes sense, since you can pair two of them to listen to music in true stereo, or place them in different rooms of your house and control them individually.

Sonos doesn't discount its speakers very often, but through July 10 you save on bundles of its PLAY:5 and Alexa-enabled One speaker.

It makes sense for Sonos to focus its sale around bundles, since having many of its speakers lets you take advantage of their best features: the ability to control what's being played on each speaker individually, and to pair two together for true stereo separation.

As part of Sonos' current sale you can save $20 on a bundle of two Sonos One speakers (originally $399, now $379), $50 on a bundle of three (originally $599, now $549), and $70 on a bundle of four (originally $799, now $729).

I've personally tested the Sonos One, and it's the ideal smart speaker for people who prioritize both audio quality and the freedom to pick the music streaming services of their choice. The One supports Tidal, Spotify, Google Play, Apple Music, Amazon Music Unlimited, and more. Chances are high that if you're playing music on on your phone, there's an easy way to get it on this speaker.

The Sonos One also has Amazon's Alexa built in, making it a full-fledged smart-home hub. You can use Alexa to play music using your voice, control your smart-home accessories, and learn new skills. If you think of the Sonos One as a special music lovers edition of the standard Amazon Echo, and you'll have the right expectation.

Although the Sonos One is a great choice for music and smart-home lovers, more serious audiophiles may want to consider the PLAY:5 speaker bundle instead. I haven't heard the speaker for myself, but another Business Insider writer bought one and came away very impressed. He praised the speaker's audio quality, but also pointed out how easy it was to set the speaker up and start listening to music through his streaming service of choice, Tidal.

The PLAY:5 doesn't have Alexa built into it, but you can connect it to an Echo using a cable or Bluetooth to get the same functionality. While the PLAY:5 does play music in stereo when set down horizontally, it'll still be a little tough to hear musical separation since all the audio is coming at you from a single direction.

This Sonos bundle will let you pair two PLAY:5 speakers together, with one handling all the sounds mixed for the left channel, and the other handling the sounds mixed for the right one. Set up properly, you'll be able to hear true stereo music in high fidelity for $100 cheaper than usual.

If you're just starting to build a home speaker system, any of the Sonos bundles below would be an excellent place to start. The speakers sound great, can connect to one another for additional functionality, and support many major music streaming services so you can listen to what you want from where you want it.
